The regular practice of meditation can be a life-changing experience. Not only does meditating help you become a more spiritual person, but it can also have incredibly beneficial physical and psychological benefits.   Meditation has been utilized by both medical doctors and psychologists as treatment for patients suffering from many types of conditions and disorders.

The 7 most commonly seen psychological effects on people who meditate regularly are as follows.

1. A more consistent happy state of mind;

2. Less emotional agitation in response to experiences or situations;

3. Increased compassion towards others and empathy;

4. Fewer and less intense mood swings;

5. Increased creativity and self-awareness;

6. Decrease in chronic and acute anxiety;

7. Fewer and less intense negative thoughts and emotions.
