Practice Meditation in an Emergency!

Why Practice Meditation in an Emergency

Why Practice Meditation in an Emergency

I have been posed a very common question by a few people lately; Why practice meditation in an emergency?

We live in such a hectic world that it is good to know how to use meditation in an emergency. Many people are curious about meditation and have become aware of the benefits that it can bring into their lives.

These people have looked to find out how they can begin a meditation practice on their own. Yet, they have been discouraged because they have found confusing information on the internet filled with esoteric and complex concepts. This has turned them off to meditation and they now think that you must be a monk or live in a monastery to meditate.

Practicing meditation in an emergency situation can be a great move. Meditating allows you to focus all of your energies and attention on the moment and in turn makes you more efficient and creative. It heightens your problem-solving skills and enables you to make smarter decisions in a moment of crisis.

The practice of meditation in an emergency keeps you from getting emotionally affected in the face of danger. In that sense, it enable you to get out of the situation in the most logical, safe, and effective manner.

Thoughts and emotions cloud our judgment often. We don’t realize it because we are generally not even aware that it is happening. Once you become emotionally affected by a situation, your logic and problem-solving skills diminish. They don’t completely disappear but become impaired. In the face of an emergency, you cannot risk impairment of your problem-solving skills.

To be at the top of their game, business executives, politicians, military soldiers, athletes, and performers all meditate. They understand that meditation allows them to be at their ultimate to achieve their goal, undergo the mission they’ve been assigned, or land the votes or business deal they have set out to get. Meditation allows them to be present and focus 100% of their attention in the moment and the situation at hand. This is why meditation in an emergency is so crucial and beneficial to you.
