Meditation and Concentration
Meditation and Concentration
Most types of meditation techniques involve either inner concentration or receptive awareness. Some types of meditation techniques involve both.
The majority of meditation techniques involve concentration as the primary goal or practice. Still, more advanced types of meditation practices involve receptive awareness or both. A common example of a meditation technique that includes both concentration and receptive awareness is mindfulness meditation.
Concentration usually involves focusing all of your attention on an object, mantra, or visualization. On the other hand, receptive awareness requires you to open your mind and sit in silence without judgment. Receptive awareness requires you to be open and welcoming of anything that pops into your mind without hesitation or judgment.
Meditation techniques that involve receptive awareness teach that you will eventually see “the truth.” You will see this truth by leaving your mind open, welcoming, and non-judgmental while you meditate. These meditation practice increase your awareness and intuition. They make you a more aware person in life and in spirit. You not only realize that you have an intuition but you learn to trust it.
You intuition helps you in life, business, and your profession. It can make you a more creative and innovative person and can improve your relationships with others. You basically learn to trust that “gut feeling” that you already get now. You learn to identify it and start to trust it more and more as you see how it improves your quality of relationships, jobs, and life in general.
