How to Meditate Effectively in Today's Fast Times

You are efficient at work, at home, and in life in general. So efficient, that one of your primary focuses in life whether you are consciously aware of it or not, is to be as efficient as possible every single minute of the day. Does this sound like you? If it does, you are not alone. I am actually right there with you.

We live in an extremely fast-paced life and are in the midst of an economic crisis. Nowadays, it’s even more important to be as efficient as possible to get as much done at the job and at home each day. I completely understand and absolutely agree.

This is why I am writing this post. This post is for all personality type A professionals, parents, college students, business owners, and any others who value each minute of their day because they realize that time is extremely limited. In fact, time is probably the most valuable commodity we’ve got since it cannot be replenished.

In my experience, using binaural beats has helped me achieve much deeper states of relaxation and awareness. I have had a great experience using them and recommend them. You can listen to a free sample and find out if they work as well for you.

I already told you I wrote this to teach you how to meditate effectively. In the interest of time, I will give you the 7 keys to meditating.

7 Keys to Meditating

  1. Choose a quiet and comfortable place in your home or yard in which to meditate each day.
  2. Select a time of day to schedule out for meditation. Even if its 5 minutes each day. Its consistency that pays off in the end.
  3. Meditate in the same place and at the same time each day. This creates a habit which will become part of your daily routine. Eventually, your body will come to crave meditation.
  4. Try to quiet the chatter of your mind during the time you meditate.
  5. Focus on your breath and watching as your thoughts enter and leave your mind.
  6. Don’t fight or push your thoughts in any direction. Simply accept that there are thoughts coming through and that’s it.
  7. Regulate your breathing. Try to breath in a pattern. When chatter starts in your mind, take deep breaths. This helps you bring back your focus to your breathing.

If you’ve just read the 10 key steps written above, you’ve just learned how to meditate effectively.
