You are most welcome Christyanna!

I have benefited greatly from meditation in both my personal and professional life. So, I have chosen to make this site to share that knowledge with other people in "plain English!" The binaural beats I use regularly are from unexplainable store (gives free sample) and mind shift.

This is a great article and a great site.

You've got a lot of really good information on this site about binaural beats and brainwave entrainment.

It's great to see how you have taken such a complex topic and made it accessible to the public. Great site. Keep it going!

Nigel,

Thank you for the information on the studies being done throughout Europe. It will be quite interesting to see what the studies come to show!

That is such a well written article!
I have to say I a fan of the Power Nap.
Laying for an hour or so early afternoon takes me through one sleep cycle. In this process Im sure I access the Delta States where HGH is released. It refreshes me on every level! It is tried and tested through out most of Europe - where the work day is still split in two.
Of course using technology also gets you there guaranteed.
I have written a little more on my site about what happens when meditating if your looking for further information. Regards, Nigel.

Great article describing the difference between the different types of beats. I used the binaural beats you recommended from www.binauralbeatsmp3.com and www.meditation-downloads.com and really enjoyed them. Thank you so much for taking the time to review these things and give information on what's good and what's not so good out there!

Thanks!

Sonia, Check out Anmol's site. Everything you ever wanted to know about meditation. You can either send him emails or ask him something on the site - he will always answer you. It is the best site I have seen for the personal touch but also for its fantastic content.

Have fun. And YES, you should definitely add a section to your blog about your meditation experiences. There are many people out there who would love to read how you are getting on and what experiences you have whilst meditating and how it begins to actually change the way you are day to day - because it will.

Hi Mike,
Thank you for the two techniques. You are great!

I'm definitely going to try them tonight and this week. Is there such a thing as overdoing it or being too grounded? A friend told me to meditate with open hands and before meditating to ask spirit to guide my energy. I woke up this morning with a need to start writing a category on my blog about my meditation experiences. I figure writing this will be not only cathartic for myself but will also help me get advice and feedback from people that have been meditating for years while at the same time serve as a guide or an example of possible experiences to persons that are new to meditation. I like the idea since my whole mission with my site is to spread the word about meditation to people that would not otherwise be interested in or know about it.

Hi Sonia,

I have two alternate techniques to offer for grounding, they are both vizualizations. The first is to imagine steams of white light coming out from your root chakra in a cone shape into the earth around you, like a cone of light around your feet. Just hold that visualization and feel mother earth bringing your energy into a more stable balance.

The other would be to ground the energy up - Imagine a thick line of light beginning at your Omega chakra (eight inches or so below your root chakra) extending upwards through all the chakras. Grounding into the vastness of your Spirit allows your Spirit to stablize you.
(Both of these ideas come from Tony Stubbs, if you don't know him you're in for a treat!)

I hope these are of some assistance:)

Hey Mike,
Thanks for the info on the free sample from Holosync. I will make sure to check it out. I've looked through The Unexplainable Store and they have really interesting stuff in there! Right now I need something to help me ground my energy. I had a Kundalini awakening experience (root chakra) about three weeks ago and ever since my meditation has been quite energetic to say the least. Ive seen energy literally spinning like a rollercoaster and have felt absolutely lightness in my body to the point where I feel like I am no longer in my body. I've been speaking with a few people and they've suggested that I ask for grounding when I meditate so this way the energy that I just released recently during the Kundalini experience can find its way and show me to where I am supposed to go and do in this newfound career (from lawyer to online publisher). If you have any suggestions on grounding the energy, I'd love to find out!

Hi Sonia, I tried the free sample CD from Holosync I think it was but I found their whole system way to expensive. I'm pretty happy with the tracks I've purchased from The Unexplainable Store. They've got a wide range and good prices too! http://rq824.th8.us

As for their usage I'm similar to Lisa in that I use them more when I need to reset my mind, or remember what state I'm aiming at. Kind of like a tuning fork I guess.

Hi Sonia

I have tried a few different Binaural Beats, some made myself and some purchased, but when I do use them I tend to use Ed's which are Isochronic. I don't use them all the time but sometimes when my mind chatter refuses to stop I plug in my MP3 and away I go.

Thank you for the compliments on the site Mike. I will definitely continue to submit articles to you. My main mission is to share information about the benefits of meditation and how easy it is to practice it on a daily basis to everyone that needs it most .. all stressed out parents, students, business owners, professionals, etc.

I've never used binaural beats personally but have received much feedback about their efficiency in meditation. I am definitely going to have to look into it and purchase some. Do you use any product in specific that you can recommend?

I actually use Ed Crivello's Binaural Beats myself, they are some of the best on the marketand certainly the best value. You can see my personal write up on them here

Good choice of article.

I have used binaural beats in conjunction with regular daily meditation and I can vouch for their effectiveness. I wouldn't recommend them as a replacement for meditation but they are very, very helpful in getting a beginner to the point where they can actually experience deep meditative states. Once these states have been glimpsed then there is no turning back:)

Great site by the way, Sonia! Please feel free to submit more articles to spiri2al.com, our small but growing community will definitely appreciate them!

Thanks for sharing your experience with us. I must say I have not meditated with binaural beats or light entertainment yet. I suffer from migraines so I am weary of trying out the light entertainment. I am however curious about brainwave entertainment including binaural beats and monaural beats. I am going to try it within the next couple of months and will post my experience on here to share with others.

I look forward to hearing from you at My Meditation Garden again!

I enjoy the Light/Sound entrainment devices the most.

Binaural-beats PLUS flashing-lights at the proper frequency/ies.

Having the dual-stimulation seems to be a better route for me.

Of course, anyone with light-sensative conditions should not use the flashing lights. (epilepsy etc)
